MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) - It will be a quiet Wednesday with partly cloudy skies and steady temperatures, but a clipper system will bring accumulating snow across Minnesota on Thursday.
Wednesday’s forecast in Minnesota
What we know: Wednesday will feature a mix of sun and clouds with northwest winds at 5-15 mph. Temperatures will stay fairly steady in the low to mid 20s, though it will feel like its in the lower teens. The Twin Cities metro daytime high is 23 degrees.
A clipper will slide out of southern Canada on Wednesday night and move through the region on Thursday. Snow is expected to start Wednesday evening and last through a large chunk of our daylight hours on Thursday.

What to expect: The morning may already accumulate around 1–3 inches of snow with lighter accumulations expected in the afternoon. The bulk of the swath of snow will fall near and along the I-94 corridor.
A southeast breeze will create some reduced visibility in open areas for some. While this may not be the main concern, it will create tougher and trickier travel for Thursday.
What’s next: Snow tapers off rather quickly on Thursday evening with cold air sliding in to close out the week. Temperatures will only make it into the teens on both Friday and Saturday.
