Friday’s forecast in Minnesota
What to expect:
Friday will have relatively mild temperatures in the mid-20s across most of Minnesota. The Twin Cities metro daytime high is 25 degrees, while northern areas will have chillier temperatures in the teens.
Expect mostly cloudy skies with occasional patches of sunshine during the afternoon. Scattered snow flurries are possible, though it won’t accumulate. Winds will be out of the northwest at 10-15 mph.
Overnight will remain quiet with lows in the teens and passing clouds.

What's next:
The snow will arrive in northwestern Minnesota on Saturday morning and gradually move south and east throughout the day. The Twin Cities could see snowflakes arrive by the afternoon and linger though part of Sunday.
While the metro may receive around an inch of snow, northern regions could see a couple inches of accumulation.
A cold front trailing the snowflakes will bring plummeting temperatures. Sunday will start with temperatures in the low to mid 20s, but will steadily drop throughout the day, reaching the lower teens by the evening and dipping below zero overnight.
Monday will bring even colder conditions with subzero windchills. The cold will be short-lived as temperatures warm back into the 20s and 30s by midweek.
