MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) - It’s a touch warmer on Thursday with afternoon snowflakes and mostly cloudy skies.
Thursday’s forecast in Minnesota
What To Expect:
Expect a cloudy and seasonable day with shifting winds from south to northwest at 5-15 mph. Temperatures will reach the mid to upper 20s for much of the state, and pocket low 30s in southwestern Minnesota. The Twin Cities metro's daily high is 26 degrees.
A clipper system moving through the region is bringing slightly warmer air and increased cloud cover. Light snow is expected in central and northern Minnesota, with a light dusting or coating expected in the metro and up to an inch in northern areas.
For the Twin Cities, the snow will likely begin in the afternoon and continue into the early evening. Road conditions may become slippery during the evening commute.
The snow will taper off in the evening, but cloud cover will linger overnight as temperatures remain mild in the upper teens and lower 20s.
