Minnesota weather: Pleasant Wednesday, storms return Thursday night
MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) - Wednesday's temperatures are slightly below average, but it will be an overall pleasant day.
Light scattered showers in western Minnesota will move off early Wednesday morning for a dry and lovely day.
Expect a few passing clouds and a light northwest breeze at 10-15 mph in the afternoon. Wednesday is slightly below seasonal averages, with widespread 70s in much of the state and 60s in northern Minnesota. The Twin Cities metro area's daytime high is 77 degrees.
Overnight remains mostly clear as temperatures hover around 60 degrees. Clouds increase on Thursday with chances of late evening storms lasting into the overnight hours. Part of Friday will be wet with morning rain and chances for more afternoon sprinkles.
Looking ahead, temperatures dip into the low 70s for the weekend, cooler than our average 82 degrees. Things start to heat back up as we head into the start of next week.
