Tornado warning issued for central Minnesota counties
MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) - On a week that's seen the heat record for the Twin Cities broken three days in a row, tornado warnings were also issued for southeastern Pope County and western Stearns County.
The storm was spotted near Brooten, Minn., and is moving northeast at close to 45 miles an hour, according to the National Weather Service.
The warnings last until 4:45 p.m., though severe thunderstorm warnings for Aitkin, Cass, Itasca and Crow Wing Counties until 5:15 p.m. as well.
