1 in critical condition after 3-vehicle crash involving Metro Transit bus

MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) - A person is in critical condition after a three-vehicle crash involving a Metro Transit bus in north Minneapolis, according to a Metro Transit official.

The crash happened around 6:50 p.m. at 8th and Penn Ave N.

A car traveling at a high speed, headed westbound on N 8th Ave, entered the intersection. A collision occurred between the vehicle and a Metro Transit bus. The fast-moving vehicle also hit another vehicle, which rolled over from the impact. The driver of the vehicle that overturned was taken to HCMC in critical condition.

The person, who was driving the speeding vehicle, ran away from the scene and still has yet to be found.

Some passengers on the bus also received minor injuries. 

The crash is still under investigation.
