Body found in Lake of the Isles near frozen jacket

MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) - A man’s body was recovered from the channel between Lake of the Isles and Lake Calhoun in Minneapolis just after 2:30 p.m. Monday. Deputies and firefighters were called to the channel on reports of a jacket found frozen to the ice.

The man’s body was found nearby, underneath the surface.

The Hennepin County sheriff’s office is investigating this death. The victim’s identity and cause of death will be confirmed by the Hennepin County medical examiner.
