Boy injured after being swept ten feet into the air by a dust devil storm

A young boy was injured in china when he got swept off the ground by a severe dust storm.

The freak storms, called dust devils, are tornado-like cyclones of whirling dust spiraling more than ten feet into the sky.

The incident happened when three dust devils hit an elementary school sports event in rapid succession in China's Gansu province.

Teachers raced to evacuate the students but the third dust devil whipped a student nearly ten feet into the air.

The boy suffered minor head injuries when he fell to the ground. He is being treated at a local hospital.
