Chetek, Wis. deaths investigation: 2 found dead at home
CHETEK, Wis. (FOX 9) - An investigation is underway near Chetek, Wis. after two people were found dead at a home on Sunday.
Barron County death investigation
What we know: The Barron County Sheriff’s Department said deputies responded around 12:50 p.m. after a 911 caller reported a woman lying unresponsive in a pool of blood outside a home just north of Chetek. The woman was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene. After a search of the home, authorities also found a man dead inside.
What we don't know yet: Deputies have not yet outlined the circumstances leading up to the deaths. The Barron County Sheriff's Office is only calling it an "isolated incident" but says there is no ongoing threat to the public.
The identities of the two people found dead have also not yet been released, as deputies work to notify family members.
Previous domestic disturbance
Background: Deputies say this is not the first time they've been called out to the residence in question. Authorities confirmed Sunday that they had responded to the home back in September for a domestic disturbance but did not say if the deaths related to a domestic incident.
