Deputy seriously injured in Meeker County crash, snow bank obstructed view
DASSEL, Minn. (FOX 9) - A deputy was seriously injured in a crash Wednesday morning in Dassel, Minnesota. Authorities say the view at the intersection was obstructed by a large snow bank and hill.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, at about 8 a.m., the deputy was driving north on 730th Avenue, turning west onto 240th Street when she was struck by a GMC Sierra that was heading east on 240th St.
The deputy, identified as 22-year-old Kaylin Hare, was airlifted to the hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries. The GMC driver was not injured.
Authorities are investigating the crash.
