Fatal Brooklyn Center hit-and-run leads to arrest of man day after
BROOKLYN CENTER, Minn. (FOX 9) - A fatal hit-and-run in Brooklyn Center late Thursday led to the arrest of an adult man on Friday, and the recovery of a vehicle that police believe was involved.

What we know:
Brooklyn Center police say around 10:22 p.m. on Jan. 30, officers were called to the 6800 block of Humboldt Ave for a report of an unconscious man.
Despite their efforts, officers on the scene declared the man dead. He was 26 years old.

Authorities with the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office, the Minnesota State Patrol and the Brooklyn Center Police Department initially determined the man was struck by a vehicle that failed to stop prior to him being struck.
The following day, Brooklyn Center police announced they had arrested an adult man around 4 p.m., and recovered the vehicle that they believed to be connected to the incident.
The identity of the victim is expected to be released at a later date.
