Fox 26 News has learned there are at least ten financial institutions being monitored by Harris County undercover investigators.

They're looking to stop in some cases - violent criminals waiting to rip you off. Those criminals are committing bank jugging cases. That's when the thieves watch individuals withdraw a large sum of money from a bank and then follow them eventually striking.

The other issue Harris County is dealing with is now an increase in sliders.

Those are the criminals who typically target women who are pumping gas. While that is happening the thief slides in and out of the victim's car while taking their purse.
