Lightning strike ignites house fire in Washington County, Minnesota

(FOX 9) - Crews responded to a house fire caused by a lightning strike early Saturday morning in Washington County, Minnesota.

According to the sheriff's office, at about 4 a.m., deputies responded to a report of a house fire on the 800 block of Midwest Trail North in West Lakeland Township. All residents were taken out of the house without injuries.

Officials said the fire appears to have been ignited by a lighting strike.
