Shooting outside Minneapolis police precinct leaves teen hurt
MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) - A teen was seriously hurt in a brazen drive-by shooting outside a Minneapolis police precinct on Sunday afternoon.
Shots fired at Minneapolis 4th precinct
What we know: Officers at the Fourth Precinct heard gunfire shortly after 12:30 p.m. outside their building along Plymouth Avenue North near Morgan Avenue North.
Outside the building, police found a minor victim who had been shot. He was rushed to Hennepin Healthcare with seriously injuries, police say.
Drive-by shooting
The backstory: Officers say it appears the victim was walking down the block near the police precinct when the gunman inside a vehicle fired shots at the boy. The suspect vehicle then sped away from the scene after shots were fired.
Officers say the precinct building was damaged by gunfire during the shooting. However, no officers were hurt by the spray of gunfire.
