MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) - UCare's offices in Minneapolis are closed this week "out of an abundance of caution."
What we know
UCare, a nonprofit health plan, told FOX 9 it's offices are closed this week after receiving a "concerning comment in a phone call" on Friday and "out of an abundance of caution, decided to close our offices for a week."
Employees will work from home as UCare "takes every precaution to protect our team," the statement to FOX 9 reads. "We reported the call to the police, but are not aware of any threat to our offices or team."

Offices will be closed from Dec. 9-Dec. 13.
This came a few days after UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, of Maple Grove, Minnesota, was gunned down outside a New York City hotel ahead of an investor meeting. The search for Thompson's killer continued on Monday.

In the days since Thompson's killing, UnitedHealthcare and other health plans have taken extra precautions to protect employees.

UCare is a mission-driven, nonprofit community-based health plan that serves 600,000 members in Minnesota and parts of western Wisconsin. UCare offers Medicaid, Medicare and individual and family health plans.
