After more than 36 hours of unanswered questions and increased calls for transparency, the mayor of Minneapolis has released body camera video of the police shooting and killing of an armed man in a downtown apartment Wednesday.

AG Ellison to review fatal police shooting of Amir Locke, Frey offers support

Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison will partner with the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office to review the fatal police shooting of Amir Locke, the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office announced. Ellison will help Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman review the case file and determine if charges will be brought against any of the officers involved in the shooting. 

MPD: SWAT team kills armed man while serving warrant in downtown apartment

A member of the Minneapolis SWAT team shot and killed an armed man in a downtown apartment building while serving a search warrant Wednesday morning, according to interim police chief Amelia Huffman. Police have yet to clarify if the man they killed was connected to the search warrant.
