It’s farm babies time at the Minnesota Zoo

The Farm Babies are back at the Minnesota Zoo in Apple Valley. Unlike last year, you can visit the animals in-person this time around, though they’re still offering virtual content as well. How Minnesota students are working to spoil "Min" the red panda

The Minnesota Zoo is working with area schools to spoil a favorite furry resident, "Min" the red panda. For months students have been designing special enrichment items for "Min". Minnesota Orchestra partners with the Minnesota Zoo for a wild concert

The Minnesota Orchestra is going out on a limb for their next virtual presentation.. a limb with monkeys, tigers, and violins! The orchestra is partnering with the Minnesota Zoo for "Musical Menagerie", a family concert that connects music and animals. Conductor Sarah Hicks joined the Buzz to chat about the wild offering.

Minnesota Zoo opens unique light show

Drive-thru light shows have popped up all over the metro, but only one showcases the world’s most endearing and endangered animals. ‘Nature Illuminated’ is a new event at the Minnesota Zoo in Apple Valley. It features dazzling lights and larger-than-life animals custom-made by Landmark Creations in Burnsville. There are nearly 30 inflatable art pieces including a 30-foot red panda and a moose that towers over your car. ‘Nature Illuminated’ is open now and will run through January 17th. Tickets must be reserved ahead of time online

Minnesota Zoo encouraging in-person visits with "Do the Zoo, Not Zoom Day"

The Minnesota Zoo is embracing our wild fall weather, with plenty of activities perfect for any season. This Thursday, they're encouraging people to join them at the Zoo... and not over Zoom. The Zoo's Zach Nugent joined the Buzz to explain how they're helping people breakaway from their desk on "Do the Zoo, Not Zoom Day."

Minnesota Zoo opens to the public Friday

The Minnesota Zoo reopened to members Sunday. The public can once again wander the trails starting Friday, July 24th. The experience has changed as the zoo works to keep their staff, guests and the animals healthy. Everyone has to purchase a ticket online in advance for a specific date and entry time. Once inside, there is a one-way flow of traffic. The splash pad and play areas will remain closed at this time, and masks are required of guests ages three and up. The zoo is hours are now 10am to 4pm.
