10,000 Laughs Comedy Festival starts Thursday

National and local comedy acts are coming together for a three day event in the Twin Cities. The 10,000 Laughs Comedy Festival features more than 20 shows and nearly 80 comedians. Comedian and festival producer Courtney Baka joined FOX 9 Good Day to talk about the event and what audiences can expect.

Bob Dylan's music comes to life in new musical

A new musical is bringing Bob Dylan back to the Orpheum Theatre. "Girl from the North Country" just launched its national tour in Minneapolis. The show is set in Dylan's hometown of Duluth and features some of his legendary music. It follows the story of six young people as they vie for the title of spelling bee champion. The show is on stage through October 29th at the Artistry Theater.

Hope and education for girls in Kenya

A Twin Cities-based non-profit is committed to changing the world, one girl at a time and they're doing it through education. Light of Hope Home and School for Girls in Kenya was started by Sandy and Boni Karanja back in 2004. Since they started, Light of Hope has educated more than 400 girls.
