Former teacher Matt Eicheldinger has had a dream for more than a decade. He's worked for years to publish his first book, and thanks to a crowdfunding campaign that dream has become a reality. Now he's landed a book deal and he's receiving plenty of praise for his first novel. He joined FOX 9 Good Day to talk about his success and what he's working on next.

MN Ovarian Cancer Alliance celebrates 25 years
The Minnesota Ovarian Cancer Alliance (MOCA) is celebrating 25 years of research and helping people in the community. Coming up April 13 MOCA The biggest fundraiser of the year, The Black, White and Teal Gala. Although tickets are no longer available, people are able to support MOCA by sending in a donation to mnovarian.org or by bidding in the Black, White & Teal Gala silent online auction. Bidding opens Wednesday, April 10th at noon. Ahead of this massive fundraising effort Deb Runkle stopped by the FOX 9 Morning News, along with some of her family members who will be performing at the gala. Runkle is an ovarian cancer survivor and Black, White & Teal Gala Committee Member.

As the video continues to rack up views, Mall of America is hosting a special meet & greet with 'Blue' this Saturday at the Huntington Bank Rotunda. Blue will also reunite with the Irish Dancers on stage. The meet & greet runs from 2 p.m. - 6 p.m. Saturday March 23rd. The M&M joined the Fox 9 Friday Dance Off to show off his moves!
Federal Reserve holds firm on interest rates
The Federal Reserve is holding off on interest rate cuts. Wednesday they announced the benchmark range will stand between 5%-5.25%. Attention now turns to when the next cut will come. Mother of Monique Baugh publishes children's book
Dealing with the loss of a parent can be difficult at any age, but it can be especially hard on kids. A book by a local author and her granddaughters is hoping to help other kids through the loss of a parent. It's called 'Ruby & Onyx and the Magical Pillow Adventure.' It's written by Wanda Williams Baugh and her two granddaughters. Wanda is the mother of Monique Baugh. FOX 9 has covered Monique's case pretty extensively. She was a real-estate agent who was murdered in 2019 after police say she was lured into a fake showing. After Monique's death, Wanda has helped raise Monique's two daughters. Wanda joined FOX 9 Good Day to talk about her book and her journey to raise her granddaughters

John King started poking fun and creating the annual hockey hair video 15 years ago. AHS teaches kids about pet body language
Do your kids know how to read a pet's body language? Sometimes the cues can be hard to pick up on if a dog or cat is feeling anxious or overwhelmed. The team at the Animal Humane Society teamed up with local dog treat company "Must Be Ruff" to host a presentation for kids at Weaver Lake Elementary School in Maple Grove.
