White Bear Lake Polar Plunge raises $300,000 for Special Olympics
WHITE BEAR LAKE, Minn. (KMSP) - It's polar plunge season in Minnesota once again.
Fox 9 chief meteorologist Ian Leonard and his 10-year-old daughter were just two of the many people who jumped into the chilly waters of White Bear Lake on Jan. 30. For his 104th polar plunge, Ian dressed as “El Niño” and his daughter as “La Niña.”
At least 1,000 people showed up to take the plunge, raising over $300,000 for Special Olympics Minnesota.
