Body found in Kandiyohi County field identified, death ruled homicide
KANDIYOHI TOWNSHIP, Minn. (KMSP) - The death of a man found in a plowed field in Kandiyohi Township on Halloween has been ruled a homicide, according to the Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office.
On Wednesday afternoon, officials responded to a report of a dead body found in a field near 49th Street NE and 8th Avenue NE.
After completing an autopsy, the Midwest Medical Examiner's Office identified the man as 24-year-old David Medellin Jr. and determined the cause of death as homicide.
Anyone with information about the case and anyone who had contact with Medellin on Oct. 24 or later is asked to contact police at (320)235-1260.
The case is still under investigation.
