Como High student hit by school bus in St. Paul, Minn.
ST. PAUL, Minn. (KMSP) - A 15-year-old student at Como High School in St. Paul was struck by a school bus and critically injured Thursday morning. Police said the accident happened at about 7:15 a.m. as the bus was turning left from Maryland Avenue S. onto Dale Street.
St. Paul Police Sgt. Mike Ernster said the boy was in the crosswalk and had the green light at the time of the accident. He confirmed the boy is in critical condition at Regions Hospital.
The bus was full of students at the time of the crash. The driver has been cooperating with the investigation and there is no indication that he was under the influence of drugs or alcohol. St. Paul Public Schools said the bus and the bus route were not affiliated with their district.
