A customer at a Walgreens in Bradenton didn't let a would-be robber follow through with his plan Sunday. In fact, Bradenton police said he got the bad end of a "beat down" as a patron restrained him for police.

Bradenton police said 26-year-old Anthony Nemeth tried to rob the pharmacy at Walgreens on Cortez Road Valentine's Day.

Surveillance video shows the suspect with his face covered walking up toward the counter, hopping onto the counter and communicating with the pharmacists. That's when one customer is seen on video walking over to Nemeth, grabbing him, wrestling and punching him. They are seen wrestling and knocking items down in the store.

Nemeth, whose mugshot is battered and bloodied, suffered some injuries during the citizen arrest and was taken to Blake Medical Center for treatment.

He was later booked into Manatee County Jail and held on a $15,000 bond.

Nemeth faces a charge of attempted armed robbery.
