Girl, 7, injured in hit-and-run on 7th Street in St. Paul

St. Paul police are looking for the driver of a gold or silver sedan involved in a hit-and-run crash that injured a 7-year-old girl Wednesday morning.

According to St. Paul police, the girl was crossing the street on the 1800 block of 7th Street between Van Dyke and Hazel when she was struck by the car. The driver fled the scene and has not been located.

The girl was not in a crosswalk when she was struck, according to police. She was taken to Regions Hospital and appears to have suffered a broken leg and other minor injuries.

St. Paul police are pulling any video from the area and interviewing witnesses.

The incident happened less than 24 hours after a 91-year-old man was hit and Grand and Lexington avenues in St. Paul. He was hit in the head and left with a concussion.
