Metro Mobility bus passenger shot in Shakopee, Minn.
SHAKOPEE, Minn. (KMSP) - Police in Shakopee, Minn. are trying to determine whether the shooting of a Metro Mobility bus passenger Monday afternoon was accidental or criminal in nature. According to Shakopee police, the Metro Mobility bus was struck by a bullet at 2:15 p.m. near the bus ramp at Stagecoach Road and Highway 169.
Responding officers found the lone passenger, a 45-year-old man from Savage, Minn., had been struck by a bullet that penetrated the side of the bus. The man was alert and conscious when he was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center.
Officers from Shakopee, Savage, the Scott County sheriff’s office, the Minnesota State Patrol and Metro Transit are searching the area for a suspect.
