It was a very special honor for one very brave little boy.

Police in Maine gave Liam Silviera the red carpet experience for his final cancer treatment.

Liam has been battling high-grade glioma for a year now.

Doctors say the odds are that Liam will not live for much longer.

But Liam, who's already beat the odds before, says he's going to keep fighting so he can live his dream of becoming a policeman when he grows up.

"He wasn't supposed to make it until April and here he is, and he's just going," Liam's mom Devin Silviera said.

Officers escorted Liam to his final chemo treatment.

They say he's an inspiration to the whole department.
