Runners hit the pavement for annual Twin Cities Marathon
MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) - Thousands of runners hit the pavement Sunday for the 37th annual Twin Cities Marathon in Minneapolis and St. Paul.
Defending Champions Sara Hall and Shadrack Kipchirchir returned to the Medtronic TC 10 Mile, which welcomed more than 13,000 runners.
Not long after, the Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon welcomed more than 9,300 participants.
This year, Jane Kibii, winner of the last two Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon women’s titles, hopes to become the only woman in event history to win three years in a row.
