A group of protesters in solidarity with the protests in St. Louis held a demonstration in Uptown, briefly blocking traffic in the area.

About 30 to 40 people participated in the protest. The Twin Cities Coalition for Justice for Jamar organized the protest Sunday afternoon. The rally started outside the Walker Library. Protesters then moved into the intersection of Lagoon Avenue and Hennepin Avenue South.

Protests broke out in St. Louis after a verdict was issued Friday in the officer-involved shooting death of Anthony Lamar Smith. The judge acquitted former St. Louis police officer Jason Stockley.
