Minnesota weather: The wet weather continues

The heavy rain along with the frequency of our recent rain has been quite the talk around the water cooler. Especially in comparison to the last few summers, which in general, have been drier. Our forecast to finish out this week will lead to some areas picking up another 1 to 3 inches of new rainfall with locally higher amounts up to 3 to 5 inches plus.

Working to keep mosquito population under control

Mosquitos are thriving in Minnesota due to all the recent rain and warm weather, but the Metropolitan Mosquito Control is working to keep the population under control. FOX 9’s Se Kwon has more.

Carver's Main Street Bridge closes due to flooding

As flooding continues to be a concern, the City of Carver is closing the Main Street West Bridge to build a temporary levee extension along Spring Creek. MnDOT is also closing Highway 41 at the Minnesota River crossing starting Thursday morning due to rising water levels.

MN weather: Heavy rain possible Thursday night

Temperatures are cooler for the first day of summer, with a high of 72 degrees in the Twin Cities. More rain is on the way for Thursday, with scattered showers during the day and chances for heavy rain overnight.
