Jogger spots black bear on University of St. Thomas campus Sunday
People walk on the University of St. Thomas campus.
ST. PAUL, Minn. (FOX 9) - The University of St. Thomas says a jogger reported seeing a bear on campus Sunday morning.
The sighting occurred on the west side of Mississippi River Boulevard near Goodrich Avenue.
The jogger reported seeing an adult black bear walking near the river.
“While it is rare, if you encounter a bear near campus, follow these tips from the Minnesota DNR,” the tweet from UST Public Safety said.
