Lockdown over at Patrick Henry High School after person runs into building
MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) - Minneapolis police have given the "all clear" at Patrick Henry High School after an unauthorized visitor, who may have been armed, ran into the building, according to Minneapolis Public Schools. Police say the suspect is no longer in the school.
Even though police say the suspect is no longer in the school, they conducted a room-by-room search to collect any possible evidence. Surveillance video captured the suspect leaving the school. It is still unclear if he was armed.
Police evacuated students and staff from the building.
Authorities say all students are safe. There are no reports of injuries. Police say there were no shots fired.
Minneapolis police say they believe the suspect was fleeing police after attempting to board a Metro Transit bus while armed. They do not believe the suspect had any ill will toward the school.
The case is still under investigation.
