Eggs recalled after possible Salmonella contamination

Gravel Ridge Farms has recalled their branded eggs that were sold in Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee after a possible Salmonella contamination.

The company said it will be recalling all of its Cage Free Large Eggs in the single dozen and 2.5 dozen sizes with the UPC code 7-06970-38444-6.

These eggs were sold between between June 6 and Sept. 6.

While there have been no specific cases of Salmonella, the recall was initiated after illnesses were reported at places that used the eggs.

If you have these eggs in the refrigerator, officials are asking you to throw them away regardless of the date.
