Minnesota expecting ridiculous cold, more snowfall

Saturday morning's snow and painfully cold temperatures aren't going away.

A Winter Storm Warning will be in effect for about half of the state from Sunday afternoon to Monday afternoon, with six or more inches of snow possible.

Meteorologist Cody Matz points out that so far this century, MSP Airport has dropped into the -20 degrees just six times, and we have two overnight lows in the -20's in our current forecast. While records may not be broken, it will likely be the coldest in five or more years.

Saturday's snow contributed to several crashes across the metro. Remember, road salt doesn't work at these temperatures, so take it easy.
