MnDOT video shows Highway 93 closed, almost completely underwater in Le Sueur, Minn.
LE SUEUR, Minn. (FOX 9) - The Minnesota Department of Transportation is continuing to warn drivers about flooded roads in southern Minnesota.
A flood warning remains in effect for the Minnesota River in Le Sueur, Scott and Sibley Counties according to the National Weather Service.
Highway 93 is closed from Le Sueur to Henderson due to flooding from the river. A video shared by MnDOT shows a large portion of the highway is completely underwater near Le Sueur.
MnDOT is advising drivers not to drive around barricades or into flooded areas. At least 6 inches of water can cause drivers to lose control and cars to stall, 1 foot of water can float many vehicles and 2 feet of rushing water can carry away most vehicles, including SUVs and pickup trucks.
