MPR rolls out line of raccoon-themed promotional materials
ST. PAUL, Minn. (KMSP) - When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.
The age old adage rang true for Minnesota Public Radio News Wednesday as it announced a limited run of raccoon themed merchandise, named in honor of the high-climbing critter that scaled a St. Paul skyscraper and captivated thousands on the internet with its hijinks Tuesday.
MPR had been following the story since the animal climbed partway up their office's loading dock on Monday, starting the hashtag #mprraccoon before it ultimately catapulted to the No. 1 trending topic on Twitter.
Two T-shirts will be available with different designs, along with a tote bag for members who pledge $5 a month or more to the agency.
