World Snow Sculpting Championship

Teams from around the globe will gather in Stillwater for the fourth annual World Snow Sculpting Championship. The teams will craft amazing snow sculptures to compete for prize money and the coveted title of World Champion.

This wacky two-weekend winter festival offers a wide range of activities for all ages. Highlights include frozen turkey bowling, the "smooshing" race, moonlight skiing in the scenic Voyageurs National Park, the "Gizzard" runs, among others.

The annual Art Shanty Projects offer four weekends of fun on the frozen ice of Lake Harriet in Minneapolis. The popular winter art festival features a variety of art attractions and performances.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Tribute Concert

The University of Minnesota is hosting its 44th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Tribute Concert, Light Transforming to Darkness. The program will include reflections and musical performances from the greater Twin Cities community. The event is free to attend, and takes place at 3 p.m. on Sunday.
